Flatbed Full Truckload & Partial Loads
Not every load needs a permit. For standard open deck freight we book flatbed, step deck and Conestoga trucks for full loads, or partial space when you only need part of a deck.

Everyday open deck freight, handled right
Steel out of mills and service centers, pipe for pipelines and plants, building materials for the growing Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland and Conroe areas: Houston ships a lot of legal-size open deck freight. We book the deck you need, with tarps, straps and chains specified up front.
Full truckload or partial
- Full truckload (FTL): a dedicated flatbed, step deck or Conestoga for your shipment.
- Partial loads: share a deck going the same direction and pay for the space you use, when timing allows.
- Tarping and securement: lumber or steel tarps, edge protection and coil racks specified on the order.
- Enclosed options: dry van when the freight needs to stay fully enclosed.

Flatbed FTL & Partial FAQ
What's the difference between a full and partial load?
A full truckload gets a dedicated truck. A partial load shares the deck with other freight going the same way, which can lower cost when your schedule is flexible.
Can you provide tarped loads?
Yes. Tell us what tarp the freight needs (lumber, steel or smoke tarps) or ask about a Conestoga.
What are standard flatbed dimensions?
A standard flatbed is usually 48 to 53 feet long and 8.5 feet wide, and carries freight up to about 8.5 feet tall and around 48,000 lbs, depending on the truck. Taller freight usually goes on a step deck.
